Miach Orthopaedics

We are dedicated to developing bio-engineered surgical implants for connective tissue restoration

Our Products

Our initial focus is on the Bridge-Enhanced ACL Restoration (BEAR®) Implant, which represents a paradigm shift in the treatment of ACL tears from reconstruction to restoration.

Our History

The BEAR Implant was pioneered by Martha Murray, MD, founder of Miach Orthopaedics, at the Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, with initial research funding provided by the NFL Players Association, Boston Children’s Hospital and the National Institutes of Health.

The BEAR Implant represents many firsts.

First innovative treatment for ACL tears in decades

First technology to clinically demonstrate restoration of the ACL

First De Novo approval in Sports Medicine and one of FDA’s most novel devices approved in 2020

First treatment with potential to change standard of care for ACL injuries
